Budworm larvae in the balsam fir live within the confines of webbed microhabitats at the time of the first and second spraying of fenitrothion (Nigam 1986). The droplet spectrum of ultra ultra low volume (UULV) droplets reaching the webbing was characterized and webbing was analysed chemically for the presence of fenitrothion; preliminary results and observations are summarized in this report.
