Through the college of Forest Resources' professional Development Office, an additional, unique component of the cooperative effort was implemented, an innovative course for educators, "Environmental Explorations: Field Experience in Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecology"; by participating in the course, elementary and secondary school teachers would be given the opportunity to gain experience in the field of environmental education while living at camp Roosevelt for a week and assisting in the Nature Lodge (Appendix B).
