Aminocarb and Fenitrothion in Aquatic Plants and Benthic Macroinvertebrates
- Phinney, Keith D.
Monenco Limited
The purpose of the study was to collect and analyze a limited number of samples of aquatic plants and benthic macroinvertebrates for aminocarb following its application under experimental and operational spray conditions. Fenitrothion was detected in the samples that were initially analyzed, hence the scope of the study, after consultation with Environment New Brunswick, was extented to include analyses for fenitrothion in all samples.
The study, which was carried-out in cooperation with the Maritime Forest Research Centre (MFRC) and the Forest Pest Management Institute (FPMI), included the collections of samples from three streams in New Brunswick. The three streams corresponded to those at which the MFRC and FPMI carried-out experimental and operational sprays with aminocarb.
