A highly successful reintroduction program has restored wild turkeys (meleagris gallopavo) to Maine in large numbers and wild blueberry (Low sweet blueberry {Vaccinium angustfolium}) growers have increasingly expressed concern about wild turkeys inhabiting their farms. The objectives of the present study were to determine the concerns and perceptions of wild blueberry growers about wild turkeys, describe wild turkey activity and diet while using blueberry fields, and estimate blueberry crop loss.
