The question of pesticide persistance in forest soils still requires more detailed scientific study. However, basic consideration with regards to Maine's edaphactive and microclimate conditions leads us to the opinion that podsul soils may infact act as a trap and reservoir for the accumulation of toxins for at least some duration of time after forest spraying.
