Tourists to Maine were asked to complete online or paper surveys over a 5-month period in 2015. Over 700 responses were received, and respondents were classified as non-nature-based tourists (50.6%), nature-based generalists (16.2%), and nature-based specialists (33.2%). Spending behavior, weather impacts, and climate change perceptions were analyzed.
