Welcome to the "Thinning in the Maine Forest" Conference! Forest landowners and managers in the state of Maine have recently identified the importance of thinning (both commercial and pre-commercial) to the future of their management activities. Thinning overstocked stands is critical if we are to increase both productivity and wood quality in Maine's Forest.
