Abstract:
This report is a brief summary of a survey of the spruce budworm situtation. The information contained herein is based partly on samples and reports submitted by workers in industry and government, and partly on the more detailed record of the Forest Insect Rangers, who were concerned with intensive sampling and defoliation surveys. Dr. R.F. Morris was provided imformation pertaining to the Green River Watershed and adjacent areas. The compilation of these records show clearly that the severely infested area has increased is size, and that in general the budworm numbers were higher in 1950.
