Regular surveys and supplemental studies associated with the spray project were carried on in close conjunction with the spray control evaluation collections. Many collections were analyzed for both purposes.
Close liaison was maintained between the Portage Laboratory and the spray project supervisor located at the Caribou Airport. Thus, the spray application, related entomological studies, and the regular surveys were integrated efficiently and successfully under one leadership. Close contact and cooperation were also maintained with personnel conducting allied studies on the aquatic insects, fish, and wildlife and plant succession in the treated area.
