A working group of Canadian Forestry Service scientists from Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes, and Newfoundland developed a classification of forests with respect to their vulnerability to spruce budworm (Choristoneura fumiferana (Clem)) attack. Forest inventory and current budworm damage data for Quebec were particularly suitable to the elaboration and the testing of vulnerability rating systems.
