Visitors to Mount Desert Island (MDI), Maine, were surveyed to assess the influence of attitudes and behaviors, land management, and role of climate change on place attachment. Those who have a stronger place attachment to MDI participate in more activities, and are more likely to keep visiting despite climate change conditions.
