The safe use of pesticides required conformance to instructions on the label of the pesticide container and common sense. Additionally, those applying pesticides must be familiar with the general field safety practices and Forest Service procedures as they have developed over the years. This publication provides information for the safe use of pesticides while they are being handled, stored, and applied in the field. The emphasis is on protecting personnel and should be referred to by project personnel during planning and conducting pesticide application projects
