Spruce budworm impact was relatively light on the Munising, Rapid River, and Manistique Districts. The districts lost 3.0, Ls.4, and 3.7"1, respectively, of the spruce-fir basal- area on spruce-fir stands by 1981. Dead spruce fir basal area estimated in 1981 as 7,693, 125,34g, and 81692 sq ft on spruce-fir stands on the Manistique districts, Rapid River, and Manitique Districts, respectively
