The increasing demand for outdoor recreation has placed a heavy burden on many of the camping facilities throughout the nation. Increasingly, camping areas are attempting to satisfy a greater number of annual visits than those that were originally intended. In some instances, the newer sizes and types of camping equipment are such that they can not be properly accommodated in present day camps. Consequently, deterioration to many camping areas is beginning to occur as they are incapable of standing up under existing pressure.
