In 1985, as a part of its sixteenth operation of aerial spraying of insecticides against the spruce budworm (Choristoneura Fumiferana), the ministere de l'Energien et des resources (MER) carried out a study for the second consecutive year to evaluate the concentrations of biological insecticides. The resulcs obÈained in this study are comparable to those obtained in 1984 and show low-leve1 contamination of the air of the municipalities studied. However, very high levels may be detected sporadically during spraying close to the stations.
