The university's primary objective for the chapman woodlot is to maximize harvest revenues while maintaining good silvicultural practices. In addition to silvicultural concerns this objective is amended by a number of constraints including the use of Best Management Practices, even flow harvest and long-term sustainability. Secondary objectives for the woodlot are promoting recreation and wildlife habitat.
