Camping has become one of the most important outdoor recreation activities in the United States today. It is pursued by millions of Americans each summer as they endeavor to make constructive use of their leisure time. The economic impact of camping has spurred the growth of recreation enterprises, recreational vehicle equipment manufacture, and it has brought jobs and income to many rural areas. A commercially operated campground has become big business, with considerable investment in land and facilities. The campground industry has experiences much of it's growth and development during the last decade.
