In the loblolly pine region of the Carolinas, the problem of aggressive hardwood weed species is particularly acute. How can chemicals aid in the management of loblolly pine in the Carolinas? Based on the records of more than 10,000 treated trees, the usefulness of chemical control is evaluated.
