Cooperative work on the spruce budworm was continued in Maine in 1950 by the New Haven Station of the Division of Forest Insect Investigations, Bureau of Entomology and Plant Quarantine, U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Maine Forest Service. The work involved ground , aerial and egg mass surveys, studies to determine the effects of natural factors of control, the rearing of parasites, and experimental tests in airplane spraying.
