In this report on the 1967 budworm situation, an attempt has been made to give more background information than in previous reports. The 1967 control operation prompted more public discussion than any of the previous operations and pointed out a need for better dissemination of facts and figures. We realize also that many of our readers are new to the budworm problem or are not familiar with many of our conditions. A life history of the source budworm with some additional notes will be found in the Appendix.
