The 14th annual meeting of the Northeastern Forest Insect Work Conference was held on 24-25 February 1981 at the Ramada Inn in Bangor, Maine. Conference coordination, Mark Houseweart, was capably assisted by co-chairperson Suzanne E. Goldman of International Paper Company, who also handled local motel arrangements. and registration chairman Eben Osgood, UMO - Entomology Department. Other members of the program committee included: Terry May, UMO - School of Forest resources; Cassie Gibbs and John Dimond, UMO - Entomology Department; Jon Stanley, Maine Coop. Fisheries Research Unit; Paul Adamus, Center for Natural Areas; and Dave Struble and Kathy Hale of the Maine Forest Service.
