Vegetation management decisions are an integral component of effective silviculture prescriptions. All silvicultural decisions, including a decision not to implement a treatment, have an effect on the vegetation of a forest site. The challenge is to select the combination of treatments that ensues the preferred crop species will outperform the non-crop vegetation.
