Two formulations of the microbial insecticide, Bacillus Thuringiensis, were evaluated in a pilot control project in central Montana in 1981 against western spruce budworm. The formulations were Thuricide 16B and Dipel 4L4/. Measurements were taken describing spray deposits and stage of bud development as well as budworm density. Using Linear regression, budworm mortality was related to variables describing the spray density and bud development.
