The goal of forestry is to maintain the genuine capacity of forest resources for two inseparable functions: continue wood production in maximum quality and quantity and to provide amenities for the society of perpetuity. The objective of this comment is to demonstrate that only management on ecological foundation can maintain healthy balanced conditions for fulfillment of all functions requested from forests.
