Since 1983, with the rapid development and unprecedented scale of decline among maple trees, the media have focused a great deal of attention on air pollution and it's possible effects, not only on maple stands, but also on the entire forest. Quebecers - primarily those who own woodlots - have thus become very conscious of this threat and they are concerned about the future of our woodland heritage.
