This issue is devoted to the budworm, about which literally millions of words have already been written. However, since no one has ever presented the budworm's point of view, this will be our main approach here. We don't make light of the budworm problem, the subject is a serious one. But we will present the facts in as palatable a form as possible to help clear up any of the misconceptions that are appearing as budworm "experts" proliferate at a rate approaching that of the budworm itself.
