This is a field study, and the thesis is essentially an analysis of data taken in the field by the writer. The purposes of the study are to determine which forest types are preferred by the white-tailed deer, Odooileus virginianus borealis (Miller), during the winter and what correlation exists between the use of the various types of cover and the depth of snow and the severity of the cold weather.
