The National Forest Regeneration conference was sponsored by the Canadian Forestry Association to emphasize the urgent need for adequate forest renewal in Canada, and to stimulate the action necessary to achieve it. Some 275 delegates were present at the meeting and they represented the full spectrum of forestry - government, industry, associations, professional bodies, academic, etc.
