Very small bending specimens have proven to be useful in evaluating certain aspects of wood strength in wood quality studies and in products where sufficient material is unavailable for standard-size samples. A cutting technique, using very small sawblades. A cutting technique, using very small sawblades and fixtures, was developed to produce small, 2-1/4-inch-long samples rapidly and accurately.
