First, a literature review examines much of the past PCT research that has taken place across the region and reports many of the current PCT practices within the State of Maine. Second, a brief research report investigates varying post-PCT stand conditions across one large Maine industrial ownership' and the impacts these conditions could have on future management scenarios. This report also investigates the impact of PCT stand composition on forest product mixes at the time of commercial thinnings and the final harvest.
