- Young, E. Harold
UMaine School of Forest Resources
During the 1979 and 1980 field seasons biomass, organic matter and soil series data were collected in 548 equidistant points on Elm Stream Township (west half) and processed in the computer. In the 1981 field season Juha Nurmi and David Hatton, seniors majoring in forest resources, and Brian Grisi, soil scientist of the Soil Conservation Service, obtained similar information on 128 field points on the Reed Pond study area. The latter is a roadless natural area that has never been cut that is one half the acreage of Elm Stream. The Reed Pond data has been processes. A final update from Professor Young and the close of the Complete Tree Institute with his retirement.
