Denning ecology, family associations and movements of 16 (4 adult, 12 juvenile) coyotes (Canis Latrans) from 4 family groups were studied in eastern Maine from May 198l through April 1982. Pups from 6 to 24 weeks of age were equipped with radio collars with compressible foam inserts. Monitoring of collared animals resulted in 2,760 radio locations.
