The spruce budworm, Choristoneura fumiferana, has had a significant impact on the spruce-fir region of Maine. Considerable research has been conducted on this impact and on methods to control the budworm and to reduce timber losses. The purpose of this project was to increase the understanding of these issues by transferring technical information to the public and to develop and evaluate materials for presentation to specific audiences.
