- Oliveri, Stephen (Compiled and Edited)
Maine Forest Service, Department of Conservation
This is the second in a series of reports highlighting the annual accomplishments of the Maine Forest Service Spruce Budworm Research Program. The structure and objectives of the spruce budworm research program are explained in the 1984 report, Spruce Budworm Research in Maine. Additional copies of that report are available from the Maine Forest Service. The program is now included in the Maine Forest Service, Entomology Division since the Spruce Budworm Management Division no longer exists as a separate unit.
The summaries that follow are taken primarily from final reports prepared by the principal investigators. Most of the projects were conducted by independent or University-affilliated researchers under contract to the Maine Department of Conservation Some projects were conducted in-house by Maine Forest Service staff. Complete reports may be obtained from Stephen Oliveri, Director of Spruce Budworm Research, Maine Forest Service, Department of Conservation, State House Station #22, Augusta, Maine 04333.
